Alexandra House Leisure Club team and members raise £424 for Prospect Hospice
Big-hearted staff and members from the Alexandra House Leisure Club in Chiseldon presented a cheque for £424 today to Prospect Hospice fundraiser Gifty Tawiah.
The money has been raised through members contributing just £1 each week at their post-workout tea and coffee gatherings, which over the space of the year has grown to the total donated to the hospice today. For the Leisure Club stalwarts it marks the second consecutive year in which they have raised more than £400 for their local hospice.
“We are delighted to be making this presentation to Prospect Hospice today,” said leisure club manager Christine Doyle. “We are especially proud that we have been able to make a donation of this size in each of the last two years.”
“We would like to say a very big thank you to the staff and members of Alexandra House Leisure Club for this donation,” said Gifty. “It just goes to show that by giving just a little every week, a really significant sum can be raised for Prospect Hospice, and that it can make a real difference for the care and support we give to patients and their families.”
