With your help we can give more care
This is what we do...
At Prospect Hospice we provide end-of-life care for people with life-limiting illnesses across a community of 300,000 in Swindon, Marlborough and north Wiltshire.
Nurses are vital to the care that we provide around the clock, every day of the year. A regular donation towards the care our nurses bring can make a real difference to the experiences of people who seek our help in their final weeks and days.
Without nurses, hospice care simply wouldn’t exist.
This is what I do...
“My name is Jo amd I'm a nurse at Prospect Hospice.I love working here, even when I was training as a young nurse, I knew that I wanted to work with people at the end of their lives. Why? Well, I think it’s because, when someone’s dying, you really feel that you can make a difference at the hardest part of their life. They’re vulnerable, and you’ve got one chance to ensure that their experience is the best that it can be. It’s a challenge and a privilege.
“My Mum has been a nurse here for many years, so perhaps that’s another reason why I always felt that I could work in a hospice – like me, she knows the difference the work we do makes. I’m in a great team, we all have different personalities, but we are so supportive of one another and we work well together towards one goal – caring for our patients.
“Whatever you can spare will help us to continue to bring the best possible care to our patients in their last weeks, days and hours.”
