Prospect Hospice aims to increase the number of beds on our inpatient unit at the hospice in Wroughton, following the temporary reduction in beds as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. We need to raise additional income to support the initial and ongoing increase in staff and overhead costs.

    Situation

During the Covid-19 pandemic, the hospice found itself in the situation where it needed to reduce the number of beds on our inpatient unit. We are now looking to rebuild our bed capacity back to pre-pandemic levels to support our patients needs and address waiting lists. With more beds open, our patients whose symptoms and pain management cannot be managed within their own home, can receive the specialist, round the clock care they require to support them during their final days.

    Solution

At Prospect Hospice, we provide excellent, personalised and compassionate care for everyone in our community who is affected by a life-limiting illness. We work in close partnership with other organisations to ensure that anyone can access the best possible care whenever and wherever they need it, and we do so completely free of charge. To reopen beds on our inpatient unit, we need to generate additional income to support the costs for additional nurses, support staff and overhead costs.
