Join our most colourful fundraiser of the year! Grab your friends, family and colleagues, and come down to Lydiard Park for this special 5k run, which is suitable for everyone. Throughout the run, brightly coloured powder paint will be thrown at you, so you’ll finish covered in all the colours of the rainbow! Don’t worry - you don’t have to run. You can walk, skip, dance or anything inbetween, as long as you’re having fun.

Timings
Sign in at 10am, followed by a warm up before the run starts at 11am. Run the Rainbow is a fun run and not a race; participants will set off in three waves (runners, joggers and walkers), so that you are able to take part at your own pace. Generally, everyone will have completed the run by midday.

Location
Lydiard Park, Swindon, SN5 3PA. Please use the entrance off Hook Street and follow the signs for the Run the Rainbow event, rather than for Lydiard House / conference centre (otherwise you will be in the wrong place!). 

Route
There will be two laps of a 2.5km route (5k in total). The route is suitable for wheelchairs, however if you plan to take part in a wheelchair, please contact our Fundraising team on 01793 816161 to discuss requirements. The route is not suitable for pushchairs due to health and safety.

T-shirts and sunglasses 
These will be available to collect on the day - if you have registered online as a team, one member of the team will be able to collect everyone's items. 

Face painting and paint packets
Face painting will be available before the run starts (cash payments only, all proceeds will be donated to the hospice). If you have purchased paint online, you will be able to collect this at the same time as picking up your t-shirt. Extra sachets of paint will be available to purchase before and during the run (these are priced at £3 each, and again this will be cash only). 

Toilets and changing facilities
Mobile toilets will be available on site.

Refreshments
We will be handing out free bottled water after each paint station along the route and at the end of the course. Hot and cold drinks, as well as breakfast rolls, cakes and pastries will also be available both before and after the run.

Registering on the day
Registration on the day costs £50 for adults, this represents the £20 registration fee and a £30 one-off donation in lieu of sponsorship. Registering on the day for under-16s costs £25 (£12 registration fee, £13 sponsorship). Please go straight to the green Prospect Hospice Gazebo to register on the day.

Changing participants
If you or a member of your team can longer take part in the event, and there is someone who would like to take their place, please come to the green Prospect Hospice gazebo on the day to update the registration.

Refunds
We are not able to offer refunds to anyone who is no longer able to take part. If you are unable to take part due to an injury then we can offer you a place at another event instead (this would be either the Santa Fun Run or 10k mud run).
