Prospect Hospice’s dedicated end of care last year reached more than 1,600 people living with cancer and other serious conditions in Swindon, north Wiltshire, and also in Fairford and Lechlade in Gloucestershire. We cared for people in their own homes, in care homes, at the Great Western Hospital and at the Hospice in Wroughton. We supported their families and friends too. Information on all our services for patients and families, which are provided free of charge, can be found here.
Prospect Hospice is a registered charity, and it costs more than £5m to provide the care our patients and their families depend on each year. We receive just 30 per cent of our income from statutory organisations such as the NHS, the rest we must raise ourselves. Information about the many ways you can support Prospect can be found here.
For thirty years Prospect has provided the only dedicated end of life care service for the 300,000 people living in our community – bringing care, comfort and confidence around the clock every day of the year. Our care has expanded and evolved over the years, and our aim as we look to the future is to bring more care for patients and practical and emotional support for their carers and family.
