04 February 2010 You're Higher-ed! Apprentices Giant Leap for Prospect
BMW trainer Richard Bullock and apprentice Phil Wells delivered Prospect Hospice today to hand over nearly £300 raised for us through a sponsored sky dive.
Richard and Phil visited on behalf of five apprentices - Phil, Iain Bourne, Jamie Craft, Matthew Holloway and Anthony Correia - who had taken part in a fundraising event at Redlands airfield, through which funds were raised jointly for Prospect and local disability-focused charity Energy2work.
From 10,000ft up, the apprentices had an entirely different perspective of their town. “it was phenomenal!” said Phil. “It’s an adrenaline rush unlike any you will have ever experienced. You’re heading back to earth at 180mph and then, when the parachute opens, you just feel calm and relaxed. I loved it, and would happily do it again.”
Thank you to Richard, Phil and all the BMW apprentices who raised funds for Prospect through their skydive.
