Basset Down Golf Course raise £2,000 for Prospect Hospice
The owners of Basset Down Golf Course have presented a cheque for £2,000 to Prospect Hospice, which was raised on a very successful launch day for their newly refurbished driving range.
More than 350 attended Basset Down’s family-friendly fundraising day, with many participating in a range of golfing activities, competitions and a prize raffle draw. The highlight of the day was a show by David Edwards, the world’s number one trick shot artist, who entertained the crowd with his jaw-dropping shots for more than an hour.
Prospect’s community fundraiser Gifty Tawiah said: “We are very appreciative that the owners of Basset Down Golf Course have chosen to raise funds for Prospect Hospice through their open day, and have raised a magnificent £2,000 towards the care of patients and support of their families. Our sincere thanks go out to everyone who supported the day.”
Gifty is pictured receiving a cheque for the £2,000 from owner Juliette Nutland and Basset Down PGA professional Ian Bolt.
