Six-year-old Joby runs to raise funds

A huge thank you to six-year-old Joby Towers, who recently ran 2km to raise money for the hospice - and still had enough energy to run all the way home afterwards!

Joby heard about the work that the hospice do, and decided that he wanted to raise money to help. He raised £155, which is enough to pay for 31 patient meals.

Joby is pictured above with his mum Frances, who ran alongside him, and older brother Noah. Frances also donated a beautiful bunch of flowers, which we were able to display in the hospice for all of our staff, patients and visitors to enjoy.

Alex Cooper, from our Fundraising team, said: "It was so lovely to meet Joby, his mum and his brother. As you can tell by the smile on Joby’s face, he is very proud of his achievement, and rightfully so!

"Well done to Joby for running all that way and for raising such a wonderful amount in support of the hospice. Well done to his mum Frances too, for supporting Joby and running alongside him for the entire distance!”
