At Prospect Hospice, we provide outstanding, personalised and compassionate care for everyone in Swindon, Marlborough and the surrounding areas affected by a life-limiting illness, completely free of charge. For 45 years, we’ve been a dedicated, non-hospital, end-of-life care service for patients and their loved ones - around the clock, every day of the year. Our mission is to ensure that anyone can access the best possible expert care whenever and wherever they need it – whether at the hospice or in their own home. As a charity, we only exist because of the generosity and support of our amazing local community.

We couldn’t do what we do without considerable support from our local community. Prospect Hospice is the leading provider of education and training for end-of-life care in Swindon and north Wiltshire. Working closely with you, our colleagues within partner organisations, we want to ensure that the very best care is available to everyone facing the end of life. This is why we provide education and development opportunities, all of which aim to encourage learning and build confidence in end of life care and support.
This January, every tree collected and recycled helps provide care and support to local families.

This season, your real Christmas tree can do more than brighten your home – it can bring warmth and hope to those who need it most. By taking part, you’re helping turn a simple act into a meaningful gift. Donations go directly to support the hospice and the tree chippings get distributed across Swindon parkland.
We will collect and recycle your tree in return for a small donation. We’ll be collecting from homes from 9th to 11th January, and we’ll be covering the following postcode areas: SN1, SN2, SN3, SN4, SN5, SN6, SN25 and SN26.

When will you collect my tree?
Collections will take place between 9th to 11th January. To make sure your tree is collected please leave it outside by 8am on Friday 9th January.
Where should I leave my tree?
To have your tree collected, we ask that you leave it outside in a clearly visible spot, such as your garden or driveway. This will make it easy for our volunteers to find and collect.
How should I prepare my tree?
To get your tree ready for collection, we ask that you remove any decorations, baubles, lights and tinsel. Take your tree out of any pot or stand. This will help our volunteers collect and recycle your tree.
How much does it cost to have my tree collected?
Our Christmas tree collections are free. However, we kindly suggest a donation of £20 to help cover our costs and support our services. Every contribution, big or small, makes a real difference.
