Listening with your eyes

This half-day session aims to increase the knowledge and practical skills of registered nurses and GPs in the use of syringe drivers. This session is suitable for complete beginners and those wanting a refresher.

An interactive workshop for anyone who wants to develop their skills of empathy, insight, listening and trust building.

Outcomes:

By the end of the course, you will be able to:

• Understand empathy, deep listening, insight and trust which feed in to the Compassion in Practice 6Cs – care, compassion, courage, communication, commitment and competence.
• Develop ways of giving positive affirmation and communication without words that is physical, honest, clear and caring.
• Develop ways of creating a calm and caring atmosphere in the workplace.
• Increase understanding of person-centred care.
• Be confident in finding ways to reach and connect with people living with dementia.
