Remembrance service 2025
Start: Sunday 7 December 2025 @ 4:30 pm
Location: Prospect Hospice
We understand that this can be a difficult time of year, full of memories, moments and emotions that can feel heavier than they used to. Even traditions can feel harder to keep going. However, we’re here to tell you that you’re not alone.
Light up a Life is an opportunity to celebrate the lives of those you have lost. It’s a chance to find comfort in shared memories, draw strength from the support of the community and take joy in remembering how much light your loved ones brought into your lives.
At the heart of the service will be our Christmas tree, decorated with individual lights to represent those you have loved and lost. We also invite our community to dedicate a star to hang on our tree. By remembering together, we create a space where no one has to go through loss alone.
Our remembrance book will be on display for you to read and reflect on, honouring those we hold in our hearts.
Our Christmas tree will be adorned with paper stars, each with a message in memory of a loved one. The stars can then shine brightly alongside the many lights honouring those we have lost.
What time will the service start and finish?
Our remembrance service will be from 4.30pm to 5.15pm. However, you are welcome to stay longer if you would like to take a moment to read our remembrance book.
