Assistant Shop Managers (Casual)

Do you have an eye for fashion and want flexible, varied work within our busy charity shops? Do you want to do it for a brilliant cause who has just been rated as outstanding with the CQC? Then we have just the job for you!

Hours: Casual shifts available (9:15-17:15 across Monday to Sunday)

As part of our retail team you will play a pivotal role in making a real difference to those in the community living with life limiting illnesses. We are looking for creative, passionate and enthusiastic individuals to join our team on a casual basis to provide support across our 15 shops.

The role involves stock processing, daily cash handling, admin and supporting the shop team (including volunteers). You will also be a key holder for the shops you are covering.

Candidates will need to be flexible to work across our 15 stores. Locations include Swindon, Marlborough, Pewsey, Royal Wootton Bassett, Cricklade and Highworth.

About you: 

  • Experience in a retail setting
  • Previous experience of supervising staff, ideally from retail or voluntary sectors
  • Excellent customer service and organisation skills
  • Target driven

It would also be great if you have: 

  • Experience of stock control management
  • Experience of product display design and cash management
  • A knowledge of trading standards and health and safety requirements
  • An understanding of charity/voluntary based sectors would be beneficial
