Mobile Retail Manager

We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative and motivated mobile retail manager to join our retail team to work across all of our shops and ecommerce operation, providing cover for busy periods and staff absences.

At Prospect Hospice, we provide vital end of life care to patients living with a life limiting illness. We also support their families and loved ones through their difficult journeys. Our shops are at the heart of the charity and our community, raising vital funds and increasing public awareness of the incredible work we do.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (5 days in 7 – to include Sundays and Bank Holidays)

What is the role?

You will provide cover for both our shops and ecommerce operation including supporting the hosting of pop-up shops and the online shop team.

As with all our retail managers, you will be helping to generate critical income to ensure our hospice can continue to provide critical care for those who need it. You will take responsibility for the shops you temporarily manage, looking after the staff and volunteers and ensuring the shop continues to run effectively, safely and generates regular income, with the absolute focus being about delivering to specific budgets and targets. You will also contribute to the development of ideas for new promotions and other improvements to retail practice.

Candidates will have the skills of a retail charity shop manager and you will also be someone who enjoys the challenge and variety of covering different shops.

A driving license and access to a car is essential. The role will require travel to all shops throughout our catchment area (Swindon, Marlborough, Pewsey, Royal Wootton Bassett, Highworth and Cricklade).
