Prospect Hospice is a leading provider of education and training for end-of-life care in Swindon and north-east Wiltshire. We provide education and development opportunities, all of which aim to encourage learning and build confidence in end-of-life care and support.

Kids Starlight Walk 2020
Location: Lethbridge Primary School, Lethbridge Road, Swindon, UK
Start: Sunday 9th February 2020 @ 3:00pm
Registration: £12 per child (under 18).
Suggested Sponsorship: £50 per child. Adult tickets: £5 each.
We are hugely excited to introduce our new event for 2020, our Kids Starlight Walk! Join us on a 5km circular walk through Swindon. You will finish at the Town Gardens, which will be decorated with beautiful illuminated surprises. You will also be treated to hot chocolate and cake.
The walk is open to children of all ages and one adult can accompany up to four children.
When is the event?
Sunday 9th February
What time will the walk start and finish?
Registration will open at 3pm and we ask that you arrive no later than 3.30pm to be able to register in time to start the walk at 4pm. Based on our experience of similar events, we foresee walkers taking between 1.5 and 2 hours to complete the walk.
Where will the walk start and finish?
We will be registering everyone and starting the walk from Lethbridge Primary School, Lethbridge Road, Swindon SN1 4BY.
The walk will finish at the Town Gardens which will be decorated with beautiful illuminated surprises.
Is there car parking?
There is no car parking available at Lethbridge School. However, you will be able to park for free at Co-op old Town for free between 2pm-8pm on the day of the event.
This is on first come first serve basis.
What is the registration fee for this event?
You can register a child for only £8 at the early bird rate which is available until 31st October, it is then £12 a child thereafter.
Adult tickets: £5 each.
Are their age restrictions for this event?
The walk is open to children of all ages and one adult can accompany up to four children. An adult is classed as anyone over the age of 18 years old.
How far is the walk?
The walk will cover a 5km circular route around Swindon’s Old Town, ending at the Town Gardens which will be decorated with beautiful illuminated surprises.
Will refreshments be available?
Upon finishing the walk, you will also be treated to hot chocolate and cake at the Town Gardens.
Will water be available?
We will be providing water from a water station located near to the half-way point on the route. We also advise that you bring water to drink in reusable bottles.
Do I need to raise sponsorship?
Each child is asked to raise a suggested sponsorship of £50 each.

When does registration close for this event?
Registration will close at midnight on Sunday 2 February 2020.
Can I bring my dog?
Yes, dogs are welcome to join you on the walk given that you think they are capable and will not be in any discomfort.
Can I register/sign up on the night?
You are able to sign up for the event on the night. As you will have less time to collect sponsorship towards the fundraising event, we ask for a slightly higher registration fee of £30 per child to cover both your registration fee and in lieu of fundraising. Children are more than welcome to continue to collect in sponsorship on top of this though.
Will I need cash on the night?
There will be merchandise on sale so you may wish to bring your purse or wallet in case you want to purchase a beverage before you set off – we recommend brining cash.
