Giving relief and maintaining comfort for those patients that are unable to eat, drink or swallow.
These kits are relatively inexpensive, but so important for patients at the end of their life who may be unable to eat, drink or swallow. We use these to moisten the mouth, keeping it clean and fresh to help maintain comfort.
Often, we’ll use water to moisten the sponge, but sometimes a patient might prefer pineapple juice or even a particular tipple. Families and loved ones can also use these; we often find this is a way that they’d like to contribute to the care of the person they love.
We need 100 of these kits. If we receive donations for all 100, your support will go towards the vital running costs of the hospice.
