Prospect Hospice Everest Base Camp Charity Trek
Location: Mount Everest
Start: Saturday 29th October 2022
End: Tuesday 15th November 2022
Nepal is a country in a league of its own with breathtakingly beautiful scenery, a fascinating culture and friendly people.
Meeting the villagers whilst trekking through this landlocked gem of a nation is one of its greatest pleasures. Our route takes us via the Sherpa capital of Namche Bazaar through beautiful valleys, dense forests and across glacial rivers, enjoying tantalising glimpses of the mighty Everest before we reach our goal of Base Camp.
There is also time built in to trek to the summit of Kalapatar, the famous Everest viewpoint, and wonder at views of highest mountain on the planet at sunrise.
This is an amazing trek, but don’t take our word for it, here are some testimonials from Discover Adventure’s customers.
Discover Adventure Leaders Vic and Tel, assisted by Rob as Doc, were excellent. Nothing phased them. They reacted to any problems or issues promptly and professionally. The local guides and porters were excellent, polite and helpful. [Martin, Dec 2017]
This whole challenge and experience was absolutely superb; well organised and very well managed by the crew and the sherpas/guides. Discover Adventure covered everything that needed to be covered and this took a lot of pressure and stress away from me personally. Knowing you were turning up at teahouses where there would be tea/coffee, your bag etc. was a huge relief. But that is just a small part of it. The knowledge and experience of the Discover Adventure crew allowed us all to generally enjoy this very tough challenge with the right amount of information at hand. I think the way the whole trip is organised and carried out is a credit to all the staff at Discover Adventure….well done!! I can’t wait to either go back, or onto my next challenge!!!!! [Malcolm, Dec 2017]
