Prospect Paddle
Location: The Forty, Cricklade, Swindon, UK
Start: Sunday 11th September 2022 @ 9:00am
Jump on board for our brand new event: Prospect Paddle 2022.
Join us on Sunday 11 September as we paddle approximately six kilometers (four miles) along the beautiful River Thames from Calcutt Forty in Cricklade to the Red Lion pub in Castle Eaton.
Whether you are a nervous novice or a pro paddler you will enjoy the spectacular scenery of the River Thames and benefit from getting active in the great outdoors, all whilst supported by expert instructors and raising vital funds for Prospect Hospice.
Start times will be staggered from 9am but this is not a race. We would expect you to complete the paddle in around two hours and, at the finish, you’ll be rewarded with a warm welcome from the Prospect Hospice team and all your supporters, receive a medal and enjoy a slice of cake along with the Red Lion’s delicious homemade lemonade.
We ask you to bring your own board, paddle and life jacket/buoyancy aid where possible but we do have a limited supply to lend if needed.
Registration for the event costs £20 per person and we expect this new event to sell out quickly so don’t delay and sign up today to secure your place.
As a local charity, fundraising is extremely important to us, so when you register you will automatically be set up with your fundraising page to personalise and share with all your family and friends so it’s easy to donate. We ask each participant to set a fundraising target of a minimum £200 to help Prospect Hospice continue our compassionate care to our local community but that doesn’t mean you have to stop there. Please do raise as much as you can so we can be there to support those who need us.
If you’d like to know more about the event before signing up, please email the team via fundraisingandevents@prospect-hospice.net
Before you sign up, please ensure you have read the Prospect Paddle terms and conditions which can be found here.
This event is kindly being supported by Happiest When Outdoors, Rapid Skills, Paddleboarding Adventures, McConks and Watsup who are all donating their time as support instructors as well boards and kit for those who don’t have their own.
