Prospect Hospice is the leading provider of education and training for end-of-life care in Swindon and north Wiltshire. Working closely with you, our colleagues within partner organisations, we want to ensure that the very best care is available to everyone facing the end of life. This is why we provide education and development opportunities, all of which aim to encourage learning and build confidence in end of life care and support.
Whether shopping with us in person or online, or donating your pre-loved goods, we thank you for supporting us through our shops where you help to raise around £2million a year for Prospect Hospice.
We pride ourselves on being a great place to work and we're always looking for outstanding people to join our team at the hospice across all areas of the charity.
The Bereavement Help Point is a community-based drop-in service where all people who are bereaved are welcome. You don’t need to have had any prior experience or relationship with Prospect Hospice. It’s a safe and comfortable space to meet and talk with others experiencing similar thoughts and feelings. We hope that it will enable you to nurture relationships and create friendship networks, offering support whenever you need it.
We currently hold our Bereavement Help Points at the Castle and Ball Hotel in Marlborough.
We run Bereavement Help Points on the last Thursday of every month from 2pm to 3.30pm, starting on Thursday 28 September 2023.
They are facilitated by volunteers who have received training at Prospect Hospice. Some sessions may also be attended and/or facilitated by Prospect Hospice staff.
No, you do not need to sign up – you can just turn up on the day. However, if you would like to let us know that you are coming, or if you have any questions, please contact Lara, our community engagement officer, at larahill@prospect-hospice.net.
