For 45 years, we’ve been a dedicated, non-hospital, end-of-life care service for patients and their loved ones - around the clock, every day of the year. Our mission is to ensure that anyone can access the best possible expert care whenever and wherever they need it – whether at the hospice or in their own home. As a charity, we only exist because of the generosity and support of our amazing local community.

Prospect Hospice is the leading provider of education and training for end-of-life care in Swindon and north Wiltshire. Working closely with you, our colleagues within partner organisations, we want to ensure that the very best care is available to everyone facing the end of life. This is why we provide education and development opportunities, all of which aim to encourage learning and build confidence in end of life care and support.

Open Monday to Friday from 10.30am to 3pm and Saturdays from 12pm to 2pm, the Heart of the Hospice café is a welcoming café near Swindon offering a delicious selection of freshly prepared hot and cold meals, light bites, homemade cakes, and refreshments.
Located within Prospect Hospice in Wroughton, the bright and comfortable café has been thoughtfully designed to create a relaxing space where visitors can meet friends, spend time with loved ones, or simply enjoy a peaceful break with good food and drink.
Every purchase made in our café directly supports Prospect Hospice, with all profits helping to fund the care and support of local people living with life-limiting illnesses, along with their families.
The Heart of the Hospice café was made possible thanks to a grant from the Department of Health and continues to play an important role within both the hospice and the wider Swindon community.
Each weekday, we have a cooked-to-order café menu and daily specials, with at least one vegetarian option, a cold snack, and dessert. There is also a selection of jacket potatoes, sandwiches, toasties, and a varied salad bar.
Every Wednesday, we’ll have freshly made doughnuts from Pippins Doughnuts in Swindon. Enjoy one for £3.10, or treat yourself (and maybe a friend) to three for £8.40.
If you like our food, why not order it to have at home? We have a range of items available to order including sandwiches, savoury pastries, cakes and cookies which are perfect for a family get together or team meeting.
