We couldn’t do what we do without considerable support from our local community. Find out all the different ways in which you can support Prospect Hospice, including fundraising, volunteering and purchasing from our shops. All contributions are greatly appreciated and enables us to deliver care that is free of charge to our patients and their families.
Whether shopping with us in person or online, or donating your pre-loved goods, we thank you for supporting us through our shops where you help to raise around £2million a year for Prospect Hospice.
We pride ourselves on being a great place to work and we're always looking for outstanding people to join our team at the hospice across all areas of the charity.
Prospect Hospice is the leading provider of education and training for end-of-life care in Swindon and north Wiltshire. Working closely with you, our colleagues within partner organisations, we want to ensure that the very best care is available to everyone facing the end of life. This is why we provide education and development opportunities, all of which aim to encourage learning and build confidence in end of life care and support.
Thanks to our partners at The Big Give, from Tuesday 28 November to Tuesday 5 December, all donations to the hospice made through their website will have double the impact. That’s because, thanks to some generous champions, each time you donate, your donation will be doubled. So, if you donate £10 during this time, the hospice will receive £20 at no extra cost to you.
Every penny raised through this challenge will be used to help us care for more patients in the hospice. It’s so hard knowing, despite our best efforts, we are not always able to accommodate people’s wishes about their preferred place of care and death, because our bed numbers often limit these choices being achieved. While we can of course offer care at home, some people really need to be at the hospice.

When you donate to Prospect Hospice, your money stays in the local area and is used to support those at the end of their life. It’s also used to support family members and loved ones of those who have died as they learn to live without that important person in their life.
Below are the stories of a few people who have been supported by the hospice and they share their story to say thank you for supporting us so our teams could be there for them.
If you don’t have money to give but still want to offer support, you could donate your time as one of our highly valued volunteers.
