Covid-19 is affecting us all but Prospect Hospice remains operational in order to support the increasing number of our community needing end of life support. Here you'll find lots of information about the virus and information and advice that we think will help you at this time.
Prospect Hospice has been providing end of life care to the people of Swindon and north east Wiltshire for over 40 years. Find out more about where we've come from and who we are here.
Find out about the range of end-of-life care services that we offer to patients and their families. These are designed to provide compassionate, personalised support during every stage of a life-limiting illness in every kind of care setting, to anyone who needs it, free of charge.
We couldn’t do what we do without considerable support from our local community. Find out all the different ways in which you can support Prospect Hospice, including fundraising, volunteering and purchasing from our shops. All contributions are greatly appreciated.
After providing for your family and loved ones, please consider leaving a gift in your will to Prospect Hospice. Prospect delivers its care freely, but we seek to provide our care for patients in the place where they prefer to be, led by teams of nurses, in patients’ homes, in the local hospital, in care homes and at the hospice in Wroughton.
The hospice depends on the generosity of local people to continue providing care for people when they need it most, and income from legacies is vital to us.
Everyday, our specialist Community Nursing Team supports the needs of 400 patients and their families at home. In a typical day there are 14 patients receiving care and support in our hospice, 17 patients attending the day hospice, seven new people referred to our family support and Bereavement Services, five new patients referred to our Great Western Hospital specialist nursing team and four new patients referred to our Therapy Services.
Prospect provides all this care for people with a life-limiting illness across Swindon, Marlborough and north Wiltshire, and the villages of Lechlade and Fairford in south Gloucestershire. This is only possible now and into the future because of the special gifts supporters like you may consider leaving us in your will.
If you are interested in leaving a gift to Prospect Hospice in your will and would like discuss it please contact us on 01793 816161 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
