This opportunity provides experience across a range of clinical roles within the hospice and is ideal for those interested in a role within health and social care such as a health care assistant, nurse or doctor, and the successful applicant may have the opportunity to work within a number of our patient facing teams, including:

  • Our Prospect@Home team which helps people to cope better in their own homes by building their confidence and reducing anxiety through a range of advice, information and emotional and practical support.
  • Our clinical nurse specialists who bring their skills and knowledge to the homes of people living with life-limiting illnesses. They bring reassurance at uncertain times and are someone for patients and families to call upon for practical help and guidance; the team works closely with GPs, community nurses and others.
  • Our inpatient unit is where people come to stay at Prospect Hospice for care for many reasons such as management of difficult symptoms, for respite care and those who come to us as their illness advances, choosing to be with us in their final days.
  • Our clinical administration team which is responsible for providing full administrative support across all of our clinical services, providing excellent customer service to patients, carers and healthcare professionals.
