We pride ourselves on being a great place to work and we're always looking for outstanding people to join our team at the hospice across all areas of the charity.
Due to the weather forecast for this Sunday, which has a yellow weather warning with gusts of wind in excess of 40mph, as well as heavy rain, Prospect Hospice has made the decision to postpone the much anticipated Kids Starlight Walk.
Sheryl Crouch, head of income at Prospect Hospice, said: “We have been monitoring the situation this week and for the safety of all our supporters have made the difficult decision to postpone our Kids Starlight Walk.”
Those who were signed up to take part have now all been informed and the response from parents has been one of support. “The safety of everyone involved is paramount to us making this decision,” said Sheryl. “The feedback from those who were due to take part has been incredibly supportive of our decision. In 12 years this is only the second event we’ve ever had to postpone and we’re already working on a rearranged date.”
The event has not been cancelled and the team is already working to secure a new date and will be in touch with all those who had signed up over the next few days to confirm when this will be. Those who are unable to make this new date will receive a full refund.
All those who were due to take part are all asked to check their emails as the hospice will be in touch will all the details.
Ms Crouch added: “We appreciate this change will be as disappointing to participants as it is to all of us, but the safety of our supporters will always come first.”
