Twelve Oaks Golf Club make £1,600 donation

It was our pleasure recently to be presented with a cheque by Patricia Grant, former owner of the Twelve Oaks Golf Club near Highworth, which has since been sold to Swindon Town Football Club as their new training ground. The cheque for £1,608 was raised through a Christmas Fair and a carol concert at the end of 2015.

In recent years, Twelve Oaks was very supportive of Prospect Hospice, raising £4,293 through a range of fundraising events. Patricia’s husband Dougie, who died in 2014, was a patient at Prospect Hospice, Although Patricia was sad to sell the business, it was bittersweet for her, as Dougie had been a big Swindon Town supporter.

“We are very glad to have been able to support Prospect Hospice while we ran the golf club,” says Patricia. “We only wish that we had been able to raise more.”

Our sincere thanks to Patricia and everyone who helped to raise funds at Twelve Oaks Golf Club in recent years.
