Prospect Hospice is the leading provider of education and training for end-of-life care in Swindon and north Wiltshire. Working closely with you, our colleagues within partner organisations, we want to ensure that the very best care is available to everyone facing the end of life. This is why we provide education and development opportunities, all of which aim to encourage learning and build confidence in end of life care and support.
Ever wanted to find a hidden gem at a bargain price? Prospect Hospice is offering just that.
We have refreshed our Basepoint shop in Westlea and promise customers a wide range of good quality items at low prices, including clothes, bric-a-brac and small items of household furniture.
The retail operation of the hospice is a vital source of income for Prospect Hospice, generating more than £2M through the donation of goods and the custom of local people. Every penny spent goes directly to the hospice to help support local people with a life limiting illness. Spending just £5 in store can provide a terminally ill patient with a warm, comforting meal at the hospice.
Prospect Hospice’s retail area manager, Andrea Piper said: “There is a high demand for donated goods and our refreshed Basepoint store’s primary focus is to provide quality items to our customers at very low prices. It is an exciting shop for people to come and browse for a bargain or two – you might find a special treat for the children during the school holidays with toys on sale from 50p!”
The clearance store can be found at Unit 93, Basepoint Business Centre in Westlea, which is signposted off Meads Way by KidzAbout. The shop, run by manager Louise Morton, is open Tuesday to Saturday, 9am to 4.30pm.
