Donate to the summer appeal
Your donations will help keep our doors open for this year, so we can continue to care for patients and their families
The impact of your donation could be:
£26 could help pay for an hour of expert care from a Clinical Nurse for patients at the hospice
£89 could help pay for 4 sessions for a family to help them cope with the death of a loved one
£188 could help pay for a whole day of home visits from a Clinical Nurse Specialist providing comfort and support for patients like Kelvin
When Kelvin was diagnosed with stage 4 oesophageal cancer he was later cared for at Prospect Hospice.
“When we arrived at the hospice a doctor was waiting for us,” says his partner Dee.
“From that moment on, we could relax – a weight was taken off us as a family.”
Will you give today, to help care for more people like Kelvin at the end of their life?
“Some days Kelvin was bright and lucid, others he was tired and dreamy,” says Dee. “But we were with him, he was comfortable, and he was at peace.”
Thanks to the support they received, Dee and her family could say a proper goodbye.
“I am so grateful to all the team at the Prospect Hospice. I don’t know how we would have managed without their care, and it gives me such relief to know Kelvin died happy.”
