We couldn’t do what we do without considerable support from our local community. Find out all the different ways in which you can support Prospect Hospice, including fundraising, volunteering and purchasing from our shops. All contributions are greatly appreciated and enables us to deliver care that is free of charge to our patients and their families.
Prospect Hospice is the leading provider of education and training for end-of-life care in Swindon and north Wiltshire. Working closely with you, our colleagues within partner organisations, we want to ensure that the very best care is available to everyone facing the end of life. This is why we provide education and development opportunities, all of which aim to encourage learning and build confidence in end of life care and support.
Whether shopping with us in person or online, or donating your pre-loved goods, we thank you for supporting us through our shops where you help to raise around £2million a year for Prospect Hospice.
We pride ourselves on being a great place to work and we're always looking for outstanding people to join our team at the hospice across all areas of the charity.
Many of us haven’t been able to see our friends and family this year so a local charity has come up with a number of ways for us all to meet virtually and support their vital work in our community.
Join Together January brings a new idea each week for family and friends to come together and keep in touch while supporting end of life care across Swindon and north east Wiltshire.
Kicking off on 4 January, local people will be encouraged to host a virtual quiz and the charity has everything you need to run your own event over Zoom with family and friends – no Google allowed! Throughout the month you could also enjoy a night of bingo, a murder mystery evening and, to end, a cookery Masterclass with head chef Dan from Dan’s at the Crown, Marlborough for you, your family and friends to enjoy.
Abby Benson, community and events fundraiser at the hospice, said: “We know it’s been really difficult over the last year for people to see each other and share special moments so we wanted to create a way for family and friends to come together and share some fun to start the new year in a positive way. We’ve come up with four ways that people can do that enabling them to do something each week which brings them together to catch up and help raise a little money for the hospice too.”
Everything you need to create your fun evening can be found on the charity’s website page. All the hospice asks is that you set up an online fundraising page that people can donate to when taking part if they wish.
