Prospect Hospice is the leading provider of education and training for end-of-life care in Swindon and north Wiltshire. Working closely with you, our colleagues within partner organisations, we want to ensure that the very best care is available to everyone facing the end of life. This is why we provide education and development opportunities, all of which aim to encourage learning and build confidence in end of life care and support.
Role – Volunteer eBay lister
Volunteer Hours: 4 hrs per week or more, between 8:00am – 4:00pm Monday-Friday

Department: Retail – eBay, based at the Wroughton Distribution Centre
Role
We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help us increase our retail sales on online marketplaces. The role involves researching, valuing, photographing, and creating accurate and appealing listings to sell the items on eBay and Gumtree.
Core Role Responsibilities and Requirements
Skills, qualities, competencies and attributes required
Training will be provided for all relevant aspects of this role, and support will be given by the Ecommerce Manager and relevant colleagues. In addition, volunteers will be required to attend a core induction day at the main Prospect Hospice building. Out of pocket expenses (e.g. mileage) can be paid & claimed as relevant.
Health and Safety
Under the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974), it is the responsibility of every volunteer to take care of his/her own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by his/her acts at work. This includes co-operating with the organisation and colleagues in complying with health and safety obligations to maintain a safe environment and particularly by reporting promptly any defects, risks or potential hazards to a member of staff.
