Covid-19 is affecting us all but Prospect Hospice remains operational in order to support the increasing number of our community needing end of life support. Here you'll find lots of information about the virus and information and advice that we think will help you at this time.
Prospect Hospice has been providing end of life care to the people of Swindon and north east Wiltshire for over 40 years. Find out more about where we've come from and who we are here.
Find out about the range of end-of-life care services that we offer to patients and their families. These are designed to provide compassionate, personalised support during every stage of a life-limiting illness in every kind of care setting, to anyone who needs it, free of charge.
We couldn’t do what we do without considerable support from our local community. Find out all the different ways in which you can support Prospect Hospice, including fundraising, volunteering and purchasing from our shops. All contributions are greatly appreciated.
We ask that you please do not leave items outside any of our shops or our distribution centre during this time. This creates a real problem for us, as any donation left outside is classed as fly tipping and will need to be reported to the council which could incur a fine for those who left them.
Thank you for your support and understanding and we hope to be open again very soon.
About our shops
Prospect Hospice has 18 charity shops in and around the Swindon, Marlborough and north Wiltshire area. Between them the shops raise a significant proportion of our income – around a quarter of the total amount needed to run the hospice.
This vital source of funding is dependent on the continued support of our community, including the volunteers who help out in our shops and distribution centre, and the people who donate unwanted items for us to sell.
Our retail operation is run by an enthusiastic team of experienced managers and volunteers. We are always looking for volunteers to carry out various roles:
If you’d like to join one of our friendly retail team, you can find more about the roles available below or contact our voluntary services team on 01793 813355, or email volunteering@prospect-hospice.net.
Join our teams across our 18 shops for as little as four hours each week.
