Prospect Hospice is the leading provider of education and training for end-of-life care in Swindon and north Wiltshire. Working closely with you, our colleagues within partner organisations, we want to ensure that the very best care is available to everyone facing the end of life. This is why we provide education and development opportunities, all of which aim to encourage learning and build confidence in end of life care and support.
We were delighted to learn that our education services retained the quality assurance standard of education body NCFE/Cache, who carried out an inspection of the services offered by the charity last month.
In January, our service was visited by an external inspector who talked with staff and learners during their visit. At the time, NCFE/Cache found Prospect Hospice to be a well organised education centre and that learners were gaining good experience through their courses.
Education manager Rachel Chronnell (pictured) said: “We are delighted that NCFE/Cache have given their approval for the education courses that we offer here at the hospice, and that we have achieved their accreditation for a further two years. I was particularly pleased with the very positive feedback from learners which helped us to achieve this prestigious accreditation and that we have gained their continued approval for a further two years. It was very pleasing that the inspector found that our management systems and administrative arrangements were all found to be excellent, and no further action is required on our part.”
We are keen to encourage more learners to get in touch to find out more about the courses we offer, which can be found here.
